Security Alignment in the Asia-Pacific and Beyond Advancing my study on territorial disputes and the maritime issues in the South China Sea, I lead multiple research projects to explore security alignments of emerging powers in the Indo-Pacific Region: China and India. My research program examines the theories of security alignment from the Cold War and the post-Cold War theorists and the implications of changes in the Indo-Pacific security order over the decades precipitated by the rise of China and India. The research program explores the new models of security alignment that could apply to the practice of China and India.
International Business and Security in Space and Beyond The world is currently facing the re-configuration of the global supply chain, intensifying nationalism and protectionism. As a result, globalization and open market are confronted by significant challenges in the world’s largest economies. To address these emerging issues, I have co-authored a book, International Business and Security, published by Palgrave Macmillan (United Kingdom) and globally launched by Springer Nature (Switzerland). I am also engaging with the international business scholars and industry experts to enhance our knowledge and understanding of emerging issues related to Space.
Multi-Country and Multi-Lingual Approaches in Research Methods I employ multi-country and multi-lingual perspectives in research methods. I contribute to discussions related to Asia-Pacific region and have projects related to Australia, China, Japan, India, Nigeria, South Korea, and the United States and use English, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese data sources in my research.
